THE NEST
The Nest - Home of Norwich City Women FC
The Nest is now home to the Norwich City Women’s Team! Since being incorporated under the NCFC umbrella the women’s team has been going from strength to strength. They regularly attract hundreds of excited fans to the Nest playing all their home ties on the state of the art 3g pitch.
Tickets for any upcoming home fixtures can be purchased from the Canaries website. The Trust have always been big supporters of the team. From promoting them online to cheering them on from the
sidelines. As well as bring shirt sleeve sponsors and have we previously sponsored a player. We can’t wait to see them progress even further and our women in football tram have many exciting plans
coming .
In 2017 the community sports foundation announced it had acquired the former Anglian Windows Sports and Social Club site In Horsford and revealed plans for its redevelopment into a new community hub.
In 2018 phase 1 had opened! With CSF trustee Jake Humphrey on hand to launch the #BuildTheNest campaign. The goal to raise 9.4m for phase 2 of the nest development was set.
By October 2019 the final push to raise the last 1m was on. With NCFC promising to match to £500,000 to complete the build the nest campaign.
The world was then brought to a stop by Covid-19 but the work continued meaning that in 2021. The second phase was opened this included start of the art facilities including the 3g pitch an IT suite, multi use indoor spaces, a cafe and very importantly accessible changing facilities.
Today The Nest provides incredible services including education and countless community projects. 1000s of people come through its doors each week to take part on a range of activities from
accessible football sessions to the amazing Duncan's club which provides support for those living with Dementia and their families . These are just a few examples of what The Nest offers please check out

As a Trust we support everything the CSF are achieving. We were very proud to be involved in fundraising towards Phase 2 of the redevelopment.
Our former vice chair Mandie Thorpe has taken part in Run Norwich every year for the CSF. Along with our Chairman Robin Sainty and Trust Secretary Kathy Blake who also braved the Boxing Day Dip at Mundesley raising over £1300 for The Nest.
In 2019 our now Co-Vice chair Lorraine Taylor and Canaries Trust member Ian Mitton raised over 8k by taking part in the Canaryball rally across Europe their amazing total went towards the Build The Nest campaign.
Our support hasn’t stopped we are still as committed as ever to help continue the amazing work done by the CSF so this year board member Nicol Nicholls is taking part in the 26.2 mile coastal challenge In May 2023. You can help her reach her fundraising target HERE.

Then in July our board member Chris Clarke is putting on his running shoes to complete Run Norwich as he takes to the streets of Norwich to raise even more for the CSF. You can sponsor him HERE.
