Canary Challenge update after eight games played
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who entered this year’s Canary Challenge. Over 150 of you have entered, and we’re very grateful for your support.
With a three-week international break causing time to drag interminably with no ‘proper’ footy – or flash by in an instant if you’re worried about the injuries continuing to pile up – now is a good time to review the Canary Challenge table.
With eight games completed, only five points separate the current top five, who are listed below:
Pts Team Name
39 – Nappy Birthday
38 – Kernow’s Army
35 – Gone Fishering
34 – Infernal Grass Combing Lubbers
34 – Micks Rockets
At the bottom, a 30-point gap has built up between the top two and bottom three. Mirroring the Championship, the Trust’s Canary Challenge is a marathon, and there will be plenty of ups and downs to come – so good luck, everyone! After each round of games, we publish an updated table here and on our social media channels.
If you want to find out how your team is performing, the table is published here:
The Canary Challenge is a unique competition and a vital part of our fundraising efforts, so we’d like to thank Acorn Wealth Management for sponsoring this year’s first prize of £250, and the anonymous donors who’ve sponsored the second and third prizes of £100 and £50 respectively.
Most of our fundraising is used to help support the Community Sports Foundation and the brilliant work they do. You’ll find Canaries Trust members volunteering at the Supporters Hub on matchdays, so do come over and say hello if you see us.
If you didn’t enter this season’s Challenge and you’d like to help us raise funds, you can enter our monthly On The Draw City (OTDC) competition, with two cash prizes every month and additional exclusive prizes donated by the club every six months. OTDC entry details are here: https://www.canariestrust.org/on-the-draw-city
