ABOUT THE TRUST

The Canaries Trust is part of a growing network of supporter trusts throughout the UK and is currently the third largest shareholder in Norwich City Football Club.
The Trust is run on a non-profit basis by a board with an original purpose of raising funds to buy shares in Norwich City Football club on behalf of Trust Members – the fans.
With modern football moving from its community roots to a more corporate approach, it is only by supporters holding significant shareholding that they are able to have a voice on important matters that affect their club, themselves and the wider football family.
However, as time has gone by, the Trust has evolved in a number of ways. The first and most important of these is to get the views of fans across at boardroom level, but the Trust also supports local foodbanks and recently negotiated a permanent drop off point for donations at Carrow Road, as well as supporting and promoting numerous charities.

The Trust also runs a mental health support account on social media to signpost those needing help to the best resource for them and has recently made a long-term commitment to the Community Sports Foundation’s Healthy Fans initiative which aims to provide advice on issues as diverse as nutrition and exercise, addiction, drug abuse and disabilities.
If you would like to show your support for a channel for constructive dialogue with the Club on matters that fans care about, as well as helping to support the local community then why not become a member?
Membership costs £12 pa (£6pa for juniors) and we would love to welcome you onboard!
