Thanks to all of you who entered our sweepstake. We had great fun drawing the teams with the Norwich City Downs Syndrome team, and it gave most of us another team to support besides our own.
Congratulations to Andrew from Hampshire, who was lucky enough to draw Spain and won £100. In second place was Graham from Reepham, who won £50.
First penalty (Switzerland) was won by Andrew from the Wirral. As the prize was a frozen meat hamper, Andrew very kindly donated his prize to charity, and the Trust held a silent auction. This was won by Lorraine from Thorpe Marriott.
The first team out was Haiti, which meant Julie, also from Hampshire, won a signed football.
Finally, the first red card (South Africa) was won by Amber, who won a family pass at the Challenge Woods at The Nest.
Thank you to the Community Sports Foundation and Eves Hill Farm Shop for donating such great prizes, and to a private donor who generously gave us the cash prizes.
Altogether we are pleased to announce that £285 was raised for our charity partners.
Watch this space for the Women’s World Cup next year!
