On The Draw City is our rebrand of the Canaries Trust’s previous 100 Club. The Trust Board took the decision to undertake the rebrand to help raise more money for the Community Sports Foundation (CSF). All the net proceeds go to the CSF to help fund its Healthy Fans initiative with activities including the over-50’s fitness classes, powered wheelchair football team and Duncan’s Club.
The rebrand took place last October, with the first couple of draws made on match days at the Supporter’s Hub. The first was with Adam Drury; the second with Grant Holt.
On January 28 we were privileged to be able to attend Duncan’s Club, which caters for dementia sufferers and their carers, and which takes place at the Nest on Thursdays. Duncan’s Club provides a chance for all attendees to socialise while offering practical advice and always has some form of Norwich City theme. It was a pleasure to attend and also meet ex-City players Peter Silvester and Trevor Howard who attend regularly as well as the other attendees.
Congratulations to the first few winners:
November - Denise F and Julie B,
December - Sue S and Kathy B,
January - Ian B and Gary P,
February - Donation to CSF and Kevin B
The basic competition is the same as before - it’s £5 a month to enter OTDC with half the income funding the two cash prizes with the other half being donated to the Community Sports Foundation How to enter and full details can be found here
