Trust Email to members on Stadium Redevelopment Plans

We are releasing this statement to provide some information in order to counter some of the misconceptions that we have seen on social media.
Although the Club initially stated that it had “consulted” the Trust and the Supporters Panel this is inaccurate, and it is significant that at Wednesday night’s meeting the description was changed to “presented to”.
The reality is that by the time the plans were presented to either body they were irreversible regardless of our views, and our only input was to give our views on how they were likely to be received.
The proposals were initially presented to the Supporters Panel, which includes Canaries Trust members, in a ‘ confidential briefing’ at which no minutes were taken. Two of the twelve people present were directly affected by the proposals. Strong views on behalf of fans directly and indirectly impacted were expressed.
We do not want to raise people’s expectations that the changes can or will be reversed. However, we have ensured that there will be proper consultation with ourselves and the Supporters Panel in the implementation phase and we will be asking for your feedback as this moves forward.
We are also already engaging with the Club on issues such as people’s emotional ties and vulnerable fans, and I can assure you that we will be doing all that we can to support fans through the process.
Regards
Canaries Trust Board

Shouldn't an Executive Director of NCFC and member of the Football League Board be fully acquainted with the need for full consultation?
Good to see the clarification but puzzled as to why the Trust didn't call this out earlier? Confidential Items on Supporters Panel Agendas are a contradiction of principles.
